S.A.J Transport Consultants was established in 2007. It has consistently set itself high standards aimed at an ethos centred on providing our clients with cost effective, and where necessary innovative solutions.

We are one of the few independent transport consultants with a stakeholder status in Transport Planning Society, providing our team members with a formal training scheme to acquire the necessary knowledge and experience to address transport issues and to keep abreast of the opportunities that exist in what is an ever changing profession to our clients.

Flora graduated from University of Northumbria at Newcastle with a BSc in Geography and joined the
team in November 2021. Flora helps the preparation of travel plans and assists in the role of travel
plan coordinator.
Andrew is based in the Newcastle upon Tyne Office and has over 10 years’ experience in development planning. He has experience of working on a wide range of developments including residential, commercial, health and leisure uses, and has particular expertise in the preparation of Transport Assessments, undertaking highway and active travel scheme design and junction modelling.
Andrew has a BSc (Hons) in Geography and an MSc in Transport Planning and Engineering. He is a Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation.
Sarah is an accomplished Traffic Engineer and Transport Modeller with over 17 years’ experience in both the North East and London.
Sarah has extensive experience in the modelling of schemes across the country using a wide range of modelling software including LinSig, TRANSYT 16, AIMSUN, VISSIM, PARAMICS, ARCADY and PICADY. She has an expertise in traffic signal design including traffic management and junction improvement schemes.
Sarah is a Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (MCIHT).
Merce is based in the Newcastle upon Tyne Office. Formerly working as a land surveyor, Merce undertakes technical engineering design for various highways and transportation schemes and assists in the preparation of transport Statements/Transport Assessments and Travel Plans for a wide range of development planning projects.
She has also experience undertaking BREEAM assessments for Travel Plans.
Lewis is based in the Newcastle upon Tyne Office. Formerly working at a major engineering firm, Lewis has 9 years’ experience in consultancy roles primarily related to development planning.
He works on a wide range of developments including residential, commercial, health, leisure and mixed-use developments, across various parts of the Country. This has included the preparation of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, as well as undertaking highway design, junction modelling, accessibility audits and masterplan input.
Lewis has a BSc (Hons) in Geography and a Member of Transport Planning Society.
Ewan is based in the Newcastle upon Tyne Office. He has over 10 years of experience in in the field of highways and transportation, specialising in development planning. He has provided transport planning advice, undertaken option development and appraisal, and prepared Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans and inputs to Environmental Statements to support planning applications for a wide range of development projects across the UK, working for both private and public sector clients.
Ewan is a Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation.
Patrick is an experienced transport consultant and transport modeller, with an MSc in Transport Engineering and Operations.
With over 20 years of experience in transport planning, Patrick has provided independent and professional advice and services to private sector companies and local highway authorities on the transport and environmental aspects of a wide range of development proposals across the country.
Patrick is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation and a former committee member of the North East & Cumbria Branch.
Steve was previously a Technical Director at an international engineering and environmental consultancy responsible for civil engineering and transportation.
With over 30 years of experience in development planning, Steve has been involved in numerous major developments across the country, advising clients at strategic levels.
Steve is a Chartered Civil Engineer and is a Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation.
